Hull City agree fee with Wimbledon for goalkeeper Will Mannion - source

Hull City are set to win the race for highly-rated AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Will Mannion, a source close to the player has told ESPN FC.

ESPN FC revealed earlier this month that Hull, along with Liverpool and Stoke, were chasing Mannion as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options.

Hull, who are planning for life back in the Premier League after winning the Championship playoff final against Sheffield Wednesday, have agreed a fee with AFC Wimbledon for Mannion, a source close to the player has told ESPN FC.

Mannion, 17, is now set to hold talks with Hull now over a possible move to the KC Stadium and could become the club's first signing of the summer.

The goalkeeper is yet to make his senior debut for Wimbledon but is a regular in the club's under-21 side, and scouts from clubs higher up the football pyramid have been keeping tabs on his progress.

His form has also seen him win a call-up to an England U18s training camp and the teenager is regarded as one the best young prospects in the country.
