Liverpool and Dortmund in for Raphael Guerreiro - Lorient vice-president

Lorient vice-president Alex Hayes has said that Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool are among the clubs that have made bids for their left-back Raphael Guerreiro.

Guerreiro, 22, scored three goals in 34 appearances this season and last month he admitted that it could now be time for him to switch to a bigger club.

Catalan newspaper Sport reported this week that Barcelona have made a move for the Portugal international and Hayes told Ouest France that Lorient have already received several formal offers.

"No one wants to see Raphael leave, especially the president," Hayes said. "He will only be transferred if a club makes an offer that we can't refuse.

"For the moment four major foreign clubs, including Dortmund and Liverpool, have made an offer.

"The fourth one shouldn't take too long to be made [officially] but for the moment none of them satisfy us. We're calm. We don't need to sell to balance the books."

Guerreiro's contract runs until June 2017 and Sport believes that Lorient would be willing to accept an offer of €12 million for the player.

It remains to be seen whether Guerreiro has a preference as regards where he would like to move to. In an interview with Le Parisien last month, he said he had shunned interest from Paris Saint-Germain last summer in order to be guaranteed more game time at Lorient.
