St Etienne's Moustapha Bayal Sall open to Premier League - agent

A number of Premier League clubs are chasing St Etienne defender Moustapha Bayal Sall this summer, the player's agent has told ESPN FC.

Bayal Sall is entering the final year of his contract at St Etienne and the French club are bracing themselves for interest in the Senegal international.

The centre-back has established himself as one of the best defenders in France after impressing for Christophe Galtier's side on a regular basis.

Bayal Sall helped St Etienne finish sixth in Ligue 1 this season and the stopper showed his prowess from set-pieces with seven goals for the club in all competitions.

The 30-year-old holds a French passport, would have no problem gaining a work permit to play in England and is likely to be available for €4 million.

The news has alerted several Premier League clubs to Bayal Sall's possible availability this summer and the player's agent, Mark McKay of Excel Foot, said the player is interested in a move to England.

McKay said: "We brought Lamine Kone to Sunderland in January and we was very successful for them and played a key role in keeping them in the Premier League and Bayall Sall is in the same mould of him, but with a bit more experience.

"He is strong and aggressive and is a real threat from set-pieces so he would be perfect for England.

"I am speaking to several clubs who are interested in Bayall Sall and the player is keen to come to the Premier League."
