Paris Saint-Germain want Rosario Central's Giovani Lo Celso - Blanc

Laurent Blanc has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain are trying to bring Argentine attacking midfielder Giovani Lo Celso to the French capital.

Le Parisien reported on Wednesday that the French champions had already agreed a €10 million deal to buy 20-year-old Lo Celso from Rosario Central.

It also claimed that Lo Celso will wait until Rosario Central are knocked out of the Copa Libertadores before undergoing a medical and signing a five-year contract with PSG. Even then, he would only link up with the French club for the second half of next season.

Asked about Lo Celso following his side's 1-1 draw at Bordeaux on Wednesday, PSG manager Blanc said that a transfer would take some time to complete.

"He's a player in the making who PSG have been monitoring for some time," Blanc said, according to 20minutes.fr.

"The agreement is not final and his arrival in Paris is not imminent. It's planned that he might stay a little longer at home. He's a very technical player, is quite a lanky midfielder and is very good technically."

Roma are also interested in the player but last month Lo Celso's father said Paris Saint-Germain would be a good next step for his son. PSG winger Angel Di Maria is also from Rosario and knows Lo Celso's family.
