Radja Nainggolan not joining Chelsea - Roma director Mauro Baldissoni

Roma's general director Mauro Baldissoni has quashed rumours of Radja Nainggolan joining Premier League giants Chelsea.

The Belgium midfielder has been linked with a move to London, ahead of Antonio Conte's arrival as manager next season.

Since his move from Cagliari in 2014, Nainggolan has played his way into Roma's starting lineup and with eight goals in 64 matches, the Belgian is now one of the club's key players alongside Daniele De Rossi and Miralem Pjanic.

Speculation increased after photos of Baldissoni's fellow director Walter Sabatini was pictured outside Stamford Bridge.

Baldissoni was adamant that the club are not selling their top stars this summer, and went on to explain why Sabatini was at Stamford Bridge.

"Just because someone takes a photo while visiting Chelsea, people assume all sorts of things," Baldissoni told reporters.

"He could have also visited Arsenal, Tottenham and other clubs to find out who is on the market and who isn't.

"Anyway, he was there with Mohamed Salah's agent because we will be buying him outright this summer."

While it seems like Roma are not willing to lose their star midfielder to Chelsea, Baldissoni did hint that the move could still happen if the price is right.

"Every player has his price but our goal is to strengthen Roma."
