Sevilla's Carlos Bacca ignoring AC Milan transfer rumours

Sevilla forward Carlos Bacca has dismissed links with AC Milan, insisting he is happy in Spain.

Bacca, 28, has an opportunity to showcase his talents to a potential suitor when Sevilla host Milan's Serie A rivals Fiorentina in the semifinals of the Europa League on Thursday night, but the Colombian forward says that even if the Rossoneri are watching, he has no intention of leaving Sevilla.

"They are just rumours fabricated by the press," Bacca said of Milan's reported interest in him. "All I am thinking about is winning the Europa League. I'm happy here and I'm going to be happy here for a long time to come."

The former Club Bruges forward has also reportedly attracted attention from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal, but he has already stated his preference to remain in Spain.

Moving to another country and another culture is always difficult, he said, citing the example of his compatriot Juan Cuadrado, who signed for Chelsea from Fiorentina in January, as a case in point. "I know him well and he's a great player," Bacca said at a news conference.

"The fact is he's moved to a new league where the football played is different and he has got to adapt to that league and also to [Jose] Mourinho. Give him time."
