Paulo Dybala in PSG talks; Palermo president Zamparini wants €40-50m

Palermo president Mauricio Zamparini has admitted Paris Saint-Germain are pursuing Paulo Dybala, and joked he could up the asking price for the wealthy French champions.

Zamparini has put a €40 million price tag on Dybala, 21, who has caught the eye with 13 goals and 10 assists in 32 Serie A games this season.

Juventus have announced their interest in the Argentine striker, who is almost certain to leave Sicily in the summer, but Zamparini -- who revealed Arsenal also want Dybala -- says the player could join former Palermo forward Edinson Cavani at the Parc des Princes.

"The directors got the player's representative to go to Paris to talk about it. He's a bit afraid to go to PSG, because there are a lot of great players," the 73-year-old Zamparini told TF1.

With Ezequiel Lavezzi and even perhaps Cavani set to leave PSG in the summer, the Ligue 1 title-holders are seeking to reinforce their front line.

They have already shown a willingness to sign not only established stars, such as Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but also to invest heavily in youthful promise, such as Lucas and Marquinhos, who cost in excess of €40 million and €30 million respectively.

Zamaprini suggested he would raise Dybala's fee for PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi, who is the public face of the club's owners, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI).

He added: "I'm in contact with Nasser and his agent. For them, it would be a good investment for the future. I want to sell Dybala for €40 million. But I have told Nasser 50!"
