Rosenborg's Nicklas Bendtner: 'It's nice being Nicklas Bendtner anywhere'

Nicklas Bendtner has settled into life at new club Rosenborg by telling a reporter: "It's nice being Nicklas Bendtner anywhere."

Former Arsenal striker Bendtner, 29, has had a successful start with Rosenborg after joining the club from Nottingham Forest in March, having scored two goals in the first two games of the Norwegian Eliteserien league season.

After the Denmark international's goal in Rosenborg's 3-0 win over Sandefjord, a journalist was reported by TV 2 as asking him: "Is it nice being Nicklas Bendtner in Norway?"

To which the striker replied: "It's nice being Nicklas Bendtner anywhere."

Bendtner's two goals in two matches for Rosenborg equals the tally he managed in 15 Championship games with Forest.

Before that, he managed only three Bundesliga goals in two seasons with Wolfsburg. He left Arsenal in 2014 after scoring 45 goals in seven seasons.

Bendtner has, however, impressed his new Rosenborg teammate and Danish compatriot Jacob Rasmussen.

"He has a good nose for goal, you must say," Rasmussen said. "Now he has played two games and scored two goals, so I hope it continues that way."
