Brechin beat 10-man Forfar 4-1 to make it four wins from five in the league since Ray McKinnon took charge at Glebe Park.
His side took the lead in the 15th minute as Jonathan Brown cut in off the left-wing and curled a right-footed effort into the far corner.
Forfar were awarded a penalty just after the half-hour mark as Kevin Motion was fouled by Graham Hay, but Christopher Templeman's spot-kick was saved by Craig Nelson.
Five minutes after the break Mark McCulloch was shown a straight red card for bringing down Kurtis Byrne in the area, and Byrne himself netted the resulting spot-kick low to David Scott's left.
Andrew Jackson tapped in from close range to make it 3-1, before Ross Campbell pulled one back for Forfar with a brilliant strike from 35 yards.
Jackson rounded off the scoring in stoppage-time with a low strike from inside the area.
