Forfar still hoping

Forfar kept the pressure on Arbroath in the race for the final play-off spot in the Second Division with a 3-0 away win over Stranraer.

Inside the first two minutes Forfar showed their intent with Ross Campbell's ambitious 35-yard shot sailing over the bar.

In the ninth minute they got their reward when Stranraer's Michael Dunlop scored an own-goal from Danny Denholm's dangerous cross.

Forfar doubled their lead in the 28th minute with Christopher Templeman's precision finish finding the bottom left corner of the goal after a cross by Iain Campbell.

The visitors made it 3-0 in the second-half when Omar Kader nealty slotted home from six yards.
