Gopes-Fenepej downs Solomon Islands

New Caledonia picked up their second win from the first three matches in the third stage of OFC qualifying as they hammered Solomon Islands 6-2.

New Zealand are currently top of the four-team group, but France-based striker Georges Gopes-Fenepej, who recently signed for French Ligue 1 newcomers Troyes, helped New Caledonia keep pace with four goals.

The All Whites can reclaim their three-point lead when they play Tahiti on Saturday.
