Bayern Munich made it a record-breaking start to the Bundesliga season by recording their eighth successive win at Fortuna Dusseldorf.Looking to beat their own record of seven straight wins from the season's outset, they emphasised their current superiority in German football with Mario Mandzukic and Luiz Gustavo giving them a two-goal advantage at half-time.Thomas Muller added two more for the record German champions and Rafinha rounded off the rout in the 87th minute of a one-sided game.Although it took Bayern 28 minutes to go in front, there had only really been one team in the game beforehand, and there would only be one team in it afterwards.Fabian Giefer was busy keeping the visitors out, denying Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber, among others, before Mandzukic struck.Franck Ribery sent the ball in low from the left and Mandzukic did what he does best, namely scoring from close range for his seventh goal of the season. Muller and Mandzukic then missed chances before Luiz Gustavo doubled the visitors' lead in the 36th minute.Muller was the provider with a header which the Brazilian almost failed to convert, but the ball managed to find its way over the line via the head of Giefer.Muller got his own name on the scoresheet 10 minutes into the second half with a powerful drive from just inside the penalty area.Bayern had not had enough, though, and a low cross from substitute David Alaba set up Muller to guide the ball into the top corner from six yards out and make it 4-0.Rafinha then rounded off a miserable day for Fortuna with a composed finish from Ribery's pass.
