Morecambe made it two successive wins on the road as they left Bootham Crescent with all three points following a 4-1 win over York.
Following an even opening, it was the Shrimps who took the lead in the 23rd minute with Lewis Alessandra collected Kevin Ellison's header before emphatically firing past Michael Ingham.
The lead would only last five minutes with the hosts awarded a penalty after a foul by Nick Fenton on Chris Smith in the area. Jason Walker would have no problems from the spot as he dispatched his kick straight down the middle of Barry Roche's goal for his ninth goal of the season.
With 15 minutes remaining Morecambe regained the lead courtesy of Ellison as Ingham failed to connect with the ball to hand the winger the simplest of finishes.
The Shrimps sealed the victory with four minutes remaining as Jack Redshaw calmly tapped home before he scored his second in stoppage time as Ellison released him with a defence splitting ball to wrap up the points.
