Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has revealed his intention to retire from European football and continue his career in Asia in the near future.
Guti, 35, had been linked with a return to Spain after leaving Besiktas in early November but, speaking on Twitter, has said he wants to play for an Asian side.
"I want to clarify that I am retiring from Spain and Europe," he said. "If I continue playing, it will be in Asia, which is what I dream of. I want to go to Asia and learn new cultures."
Guti made over 400 appearances over 15 years throughout his time at Madrid and played in midfields that featured David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Claude Makelele, Wesley Sneijder, Robinho and others.
