The hosts made a shaky start, but Brazilian winger Nene scored at the end of each half to secure Antoine Kombouare's men their fifth league win of the season at the Parc des Princes. Dijon remain 13th.

Lille kept up the pressure on the top two in Ligue 1 with an impressive 3-1 win over Lyon in Sunday's late game.

Jimmy Briand fired Lyon in front at Stade Metropole, but Moussa Sow drew the hosts level on the stroke of half-time. Second-half strikes from Marko Basa and substitute Joe Cole then settled the match to move Lille four points behind leaders Paris St Germain.

Julien Feret was on target as Rennes continued to put pressure on the Ligue 1 pace-setters with a 1-0 victory over struggling Auxerre.

Feret's goal came with 19 minutes remaining. Substitute Razak Boukari provided the assist, with Feret taking plenty of time before firing past Sorin with a fiery left-footed effort.

Rennes are now on 21 points, while Auxerre are now winless in three and have taken maximum points in the league just twice in 11 attempts.
