Fluminense midfielder Deco has rejected reports that persistent injury problems will force him into early retirement and pledged to see out the final year of his contract.
Deco, 33, has struggled to make an impression since returning to his homeland last summer and injuries have restricted him to just 24 appearances for Fluminense in almost 12 months.
But the former Porto, Barcelona and Chelsea star dismissed claims that he may have to quit football and insisted he plans to continue for at least another year.
"About my future, my idea is to fulfill my contract until its end," Deco said.
"Everyone suffers from injuries, but unfortunately, they are more common with me."
