Rapids and Dynamo play out stalemate

ESPNsoccernet staff

The Colorado Rapids and Houston Dynamo played out a goalless draw in Sunday's sole MLS encounter.

Houston, of the Eastern Conference, had Tally Hall to thank for their point after the goalkeeper pulled off a string of saves to frustrate their Western Conference hosts.

Hall brilliantly denied Drew Moor as he tipped a shot over the bar in the 80th minute, and a moment later he parried Quincy Amarikwa's shot from close range away to safety.

Drama then ensued after the final whistle as Colorado's Amarikwa was sent off for dissent towards the referee.

The draw leaves both teams in fifth place in their respective conference.
