Paraguay, Chile draw in warm-up

Paraguay and Chile completed their Copa America preparations with a goalless draw in Asuncion.

Roque Santa Cruz and Federico Santander both went close to a first-half breakthrough for Paraguay in a game otherwise short on goalmouth action at the Estadio Defensores del Chaco.

Manchester City forward Santa Cruz, who spent an unsuccessful second half of last season on loan at Blackburn, steered an effort narrowly over the crossbar before Santander went even closer, his effort rebounding off the upright with keeper Claudio Bravo beaten.

Luis Jimenez had Chile's best chance before the interval but was also unable to find the net.

The second half was disrupted by a rash of changes as rival coaches Gerardo Martino and Claudio Borghi took the opportunity to give game time to as many of their squad as possible ahead of the tournament, which begins on July 1 in Argentina.
