• Veh steps down from Hamburg role
Veh, who led Stuttgart to the 2007 German title, left Hamburg recently after an eight-month spell at the club that was hindered by off-field issue and will now work alongside newly-appointed sporting director Bruno Hubner at the Commerzbank Arena.
Hubner said: ''I wanted only him. He was the first and only candidate.''
Veh, 50, succeeds Christoph Daum, who left following the club's relegation in 2010-11.
