USA hold Argentina

Juan Agudelo's second-half strike helped USA clinch a 1-1 draw in their friendly against Argentina after a very disappointing first-half performance.

Argentina took a deserved lead three minutes before half-time when Esteban Cambiasso beat Tim Howard, but Colombia-born forward Agudelo came in to equalise.

Sergio Batista's Argentina, with Lionel Messi ambitiously leading the team on the field, managed to produce ten goalscoring opportunities before Cambiasso opened the scoring.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez scored twice as Mexico won 3-1 at home to Paraguay.

Mexico were 3-0 up by the break as 'Chicharito' scored in the seventh and 35th minutes with winger Andres Guardado scoring in between. Cristian Riveros pulled one back for Paraguay three minutes from time.

Portugal and Chile drew 1-1 after Silvestre Varela's opener was cancelled out by Chile's Sporting Lisbon attacker Matias Fernandez.

Fredy Guarin and Radamel Falcao Garcia scored one apiece as Colombia won 2-0 away to Ecuador.
