Palmeiras boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed he would be keen to sign AC Milan star Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho, 30, has been linked with an exit throughout the summer, but reports he was set to join Flamengo or LA Galaxy have been strongly denied by Milan.

Scolari admits he does not know whether Ronaldinho would consider allowing the Brazil international to leave but, having spoken to his brother and agent, Roberto de Assis, he has said he is keen on a deal.

"I spoke to his brother 20 days ago and we discussed quite a few things," he said. "Ronaldinho is a great player. I admire him very much and he would be absolutely welcome at Palmeiras. Having said that, I don't know what his situation is with Milan. I don't know the transfer strategy of the Rossoneri side."

Scolari was in charge of the World Cup-winning Brazil national side of 2002 that featured Ronaldinho.
