Rueda happy with team's attitude

Colombian coach Reinaldo Rueda said he was happy with his Honduras side after they drew 0-0 with Switzerland to secure their only point of the tournament.

Hitzfeld: Pressure cost Swiss

Honduras suffered successive defeats to Spain and Chile in the opening two games to give them no realistic hope of making the second round, but they were much improved against a Swiss side that needed a victory to progress.

"The players recognised the importance of the game and showed their courage," Rueda said. "It is a shame we did not display our skills earlier.

"It was a very tense match as Switzerland had a lot to play for. When the game did open up we showed a lack of maturity in our game."

Goalkeeper Noel Valladares added: "I think we can have peace of mind as we gave everything. I thought we looked more self-assured in this match than the other two."
