Australia have suffered a blow with the news that midfielder Vince Grella has been ruled out of the key match against Ghana on Saturday with a knee injury.

Grella twisted the medial ligament in his knee during training and is likely to be sidelined for at least a fortnight, meaning he will probably miss the rest of his side's games. However, his performance in the opening match against Germany was criticised in the Australian media and there was speculation he might have been dropped anyway.
It has also been reported Grella angrily accosted coach Pim Verbeek at training on Monday in the aftermath of the Germany game, although Football Federation Australia chief executive Ben Buckley has repeatedly insisted there is no discord in the camp.
"It's insulting to the professionalism of the players that there is speculation on speculation," Buckley said. "It's disrespectful to the players. In no way is there any form of disunity.'"
In what has been a bad week for Grella, Turkish outfit Galatasaray appear to have decided not sign him despite agreeing terms with Blackburn Rovers earlier this month.
