Estudiantes pair Mauro Boselli and Marcos Angeleri are set to complete moves to Wigan Athletic and Sunderland respectively.

Forward Boselli is heading to the DW Stadium for a reported 6.2 million, while Sunderland will pay 1.9 million for full-back Angeleri.

The deal for Boselli also has to be agreed by Boca Juniors, who own half of the player and had hoped to sign him themselves, however it appears they will struggle to match Wigan's offer.

"We have now received the new offer from Wigan in England and we need to chat with the directors of Boca and the representatives of Marco so we can define the transfer," said Estudiantes president Ruben Filipas.

The reigning Copa Libertadores champions are set to send representatives to England to secure both transfers.

Angeleri has been capped by Argentina, and is in Europe acquiring an Italian passport in order to ease his transfer to the Stadium of Light.
