Velud quits Togo post in order to rejoin Creteil

Togo national team coach Hubert Velud has resigned in order to return to French third division side Creteil.

Velud was wounded in the attack on the Togo team prior to the African Nations Cup in January. He will now return to Creteil after previously bringing success to the club.

"Hubert Velud in his first term in charge of Creteil guided us to our best ever season in 2005-06 when we finished eighth in the second division with 54 points," read a statement from the club.

Velud arrives as the replacement for former Paris Saint Germain star Laurent Fournier, who was appointed in June 2009.
