Tottenham misfit Adel Taarabt has claimed he is being tracked by Spain's biggest clubs, including Real Madrid and Barcelona. Taarabt, who has failed to make an impression under current Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, said: "I hope to be playing for one of the top four in Spain next season - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or Sevilla. I have had contact with good teams and I know that they want me. Now I just have to hope they can agree a deal with Tottenham."

The 20-year-old Spurs midfielder, currently on loan at QPR, has also hit out at the style of English football, claiming it falls short of the standard in Spain. He said: "England is not for me, I think La Liga is the best League for me. [I don't like] how they play in England, I like to play football. I look at teams like Bolton, Stoke or Wolves and say 'There is just no point for me'. I hate that style of football."

Taarabt recently claimed he made a mistake joining Spurs and should have joined Arsenal when he had the chance. He said: "I was going to go to Arsenal when Comolli was there with Wenger. But he went to Tottenham so I went there. That was a big mistake for me. My friends in England like Armand Traore and Abou Diaby at Arsenal told me Tottenham were not the right fit for me."
