Nancy have been rocked by the news top scorer Youssouf Hadji will be sidelined for three weeks with a groin injury.
The Moroccan picked the problem in the final minute of his side's 3-1 defeat at Marseille last weekend, with a scan yesterday confirming he had suffered a muscle tear.
Hadji, who turns 30 tomorrow, has scored eight times in Ligue 1 this season and will miss Nancy's upcoming games against Grenoble, Nice and Boulogne.
A statement on club website read: "Examinations on Tuesday afternoon revealed a small muscle injury in the adductor. The Morocco international is now set for two weeks of rest before resuming with a custom [training] program.''
The news is a further blow for Nancy coach Pablo Correa who had already lost Aaron Doran, Abdeslam Ouaddou, Cheick Diabate and Gaston Curbelo to injury.
