Premier Showdown - Jan 30 - Feb 1

Dale wiped the floor with the opposition in the midweek round of Showdown, scoring more points than Tommy and the Rest of the World put together.

What do we have in store this weekend?

We're welcoming back Peter W. Eisenhammer for another crack at the game this weekend. That's because he was due to play on the weekend of January 9, which was decimated by the weather. It's only fair he gets a proper go.

Peter told us back then: "Hi, I live in Perth, Western Australia and I am a huge Bayern Munich fan first, though I also have a soft spot for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

"I have my own business in the courier industry and absolutely love football. I am 57 years young and my wife hates the weekends because "there's never anything other than football on the telly" ... A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do ... and that's watch football! Bring it on!"

Bring it on, indeed.

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
