Sydney FC's Jurman ruled out for season

Young Sydney FC defender Matthew Jurman will miss the rest of the A-League season after sustaining a stress fracture in his right foot.

Jurman, 20, will be in plaster and on crutches for the next six weeks before undergoing a rehabilitation program.

"It's really disappointing because both the A-League and Youth League teams are doing very well," Jurman said.

"Sydney FC has been great to me. I will rest up and work closely with our club physiotherapist and do everything right."

After making his A-League debut last season, the Young Socceroo has started seven games on the bench this campaign.
