Motherwell have completed the signing of highly-rated Ross County teenager Ryan Scanlon.

The 17-year-old left-sided midfielder will initially join the Lanarkshire club's under-19 squad, under youth development boss Gordon Young.

Young told the club's official website: "He's actually a Motherwell boy, went to Dalziel High School, but he slipped the net but he's been on our radar for a while.

"He went up to Ross County and was one of their stand-out players, so much so there has been a lot of interest from both north and south of the border, particularly from the bigger clubs in Glasgow.''
