UAE side Al Jazira have completed the capture of Brazilian striker Ricardo Oliveira from Real Betis.
The 29-year-old made the switch to the UAE league runners-up following Betis' relegation from Spain's top-flight last term.
Oliveira will replace compatriot Fernando Baiano, who finished top scorer in the UAE League last season with 25 goals before joining local rivals Al Wahda, and is expected to play an integral role in next year's Asian Champions League campaign.
''It is important to have a player like Oliveira,'' said Al Jazira board member Hamad Al Sowaidi on the club's official website. ''He will be a good addition to the team next season.''
Oliveira played for Brazil in the 2004 Copa America and was part of the triumphant 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup squad.
He has plenty of experience in Europe's top leagues, having played for Italian giants AC Milan and Spanish sides Valencia and Real Zaragoza as well as Betis.
