TORONTO -- Toronto FC has come to an agreement to terminate the contract of midfielder Rohan Ricketts.

Ricketts, from England, had four goals and four assists in 27 games last season for the club after signing in April, but this season had found himself mostly on the bench.

He appeared in 12 games in 2009 but only three as a starter. He had no goals or assists in 316 minutes.

Toronto FC also announced the waiving of forward Johann Smith.

The 22-year-old Smith joined the club on Aug. 15, 2008 signing as a free agent.

Smith appeared in a total of 14 games, three of those as a starter. He compiled 418 minutes, and one assist.
