Hansa Rostock have signed Germany Under-21 striker Kevin Schindler on a year's loan from Werder Bremen.
The 20-year-old will be aiming to fire Rostock back into the Bundesliga at the first attempt following their relegation from the top flight. Schindler broke into the Bremen first team last season but struggled to win a starting berth, and has joined Rostock in search of regular football. 'The important thing for me and the continuation of my career is that I can be playing at a high level next season,' the forward, who scored seven times in 25 games for Bremen's reserve side last term, told Rostock's official website. 'This match practice (for the reserves) has been good for me and more often than not I played the full 90 minutes. 'Furthermore, we reached our aim of promotion to the third division with two games to go. 'I would have liked a bit more first-team action, but the competition at Werder is very strong.' Schindler is under contract at Bremen until 2011 and should return to the Weserstadion at the end of next season.
