Sydney FC chief executive quits

Sydney FC chief executive George Perry has quit the A-League club after less than 18 months in charge.

Perry confirmed he had handed in his resignation this morning, citing "personal reasons" for his departure.

"I've handed in my resignation effective today, and am looking forward to spending more time with my family," Perry told AAP.

Perry's departure continues the high turnover of staff and players at the club since it began just over three years ago.

It has had three chairmen, four coaches and two chief executives.

Perry, who joined the club in December 2006 after replacing Tim Parker, declined to comment further on his resignation but added he had thoroughly enjoyed his time with the club.
