The game will serve as new manager Giovanni Trapattoni's second in charge and
will conclude an intense initial period spent with the players in the build-up
to the 2010 World Cup qualifying programme.
Trapattoni takes up the Republic reins on May 1 after seeing out the Austrian
League season with Red Bull Salzburg, who currently lie third in a five-way
scrap for the title.
The veteran Italian will first conduct a week-long training camp in Portugal
in the build-up to a friendly with Serbia at Croke Park on May 24.
That will then be followed a few days later with the game against the
Colombians, who are also due to play France in Paris on June 3.
