MADRID, Spain -- Spain will play the United States in an exhibition game on June 4, coach Luis Aragones said Friday.
Aragones, speaking of the Spanish team's preparations ahead of the European Championship, said the two countries will meet in a yet to be determined location.
It will be just the third meeting between the two. Spain beat the U.S. 2-0 in a March 1992 exhibition game in Valladolid. Their only prior meeting to that was a 3-1 Spanish victory at the 1950 World Cup.
Spain will play France on Feb. 6, Italy on March 26 and a yet to be announced rival on May 31 in its leadup to Euro 2008.
Spain will travel to its base in Neustift, Austria, on June 5. It opens against Group D rival Russia in Innsbruck on June 10.
