Lehmann set to decide on Dortmund transfer
Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will make up his mind on whether to stay in London or move to Borussia Dortmund in the next few days.
Dortmund have made the 38-year-old an offer to return to Germany and, although
it would mean a significant reduction in wages, the lure of first-team football
may be enough to tempt Lehmann back to the Westphalian club.
Another deciding factor could be Germany coach Joachim Low's insistence that
only players playing regular first-team football will be considered for Euro
'Since this is a difficult decision which affects my family above all, I need
to consider and discuss a few things,' he told Germany's Bild am Sonntag
'I cannot name a definite date (for my decision), but I think it will be
within a few days.'
Germany goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke is certainly pushing for Lehmann to
return to the Bundesliga.
He said: 'From a sporting point of view, it would be desirable to have him
playing regularly again.
