 Former Pompey winger Robert set for Derby?

Derby manager Paul Jewell is set to bolster his struggling side with a couple of new recruits this week.

Argentina striker Emanuel Villa is due to arrive on Thursday and complete a move from Mexican side UAG Tecos, while former Newcastle and Portsmouth winger Laurent Robert is also heading for Pride Park.

Robert has been handed a trial after having his contract cancelled by Spanish side Levante.

'He's coming in on Friday and we'll see how he looks,' Jewell told Sky Sports News. 'We'll have a look and see what condition he is in and we'll see if he is right for us.'
