German second division team signs U.S. goalie

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany -- Kaiserslautern of Germany's second division signed U.S. goalkeeper Luis Robles to its farm team Wednesday.

Robles played for the University of Portland and was taken by Major League Soccer's D.C. United last month with the 50th pick of the MLS SuperDraft. He received a 1½-year contract and is to play in Germany's minor league.
