ROME, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Serie A strugglers Messina have sacked their coach Bruno Giordano and replaced him with Alberto Cavasin, the club announced on Tuesday.
Messina are 18th in the 20-team division after conceding two late goals to lose 2-1 at home to bottom-placed Ascoli on Sunday. The Sicilian side, who started the season well, have managed just two points in their last 10 games. Cavasin has previous top-flight experience with Lecce, Brescia and Treviso.
