Struggling Sedan sack coach Romano

PARIS, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Sedan coach Serge Romano has been sacked after a series of poor results, the Ligue 1 club said on Tuesday.

'He is replaced by (assistant coach) Jose Pasqualetti, former coach of AC Ajaccio,' the promoted club said in a statement on their Web site.

Sedan, who were beaten 3-1 by Girondins Bordeaux at the weekend, are second from bottom with eight points from 11 matches.

Romano is the third coach to be sacked in the French league this season after Nantes' Serge Le Dizet and Monaco's Laszlo Boloni.
