Johnson injury not thought to be serious

CARSON, Calif. -- Eddie Johnson has a bruised right calf and is day to day after getting hurt during the United States' 0-0 tie against Canada last Sunday.

An X-ray didn't show any structural damage, the U.S. Soccer Federation said Wednesday, and his condition has improved.

Johnson, likely to make the U.S. World Cup roster, missed much of last year with a toe injury. The United States plays Norway this Sunday.
