FRANKFURT, Jan 24 (Reuters) - German second division club TSV 1860 Munich appointed Austria's Walter Schachner as coach on Tuesday.Schachner will sign a contract until June 30 2008 to work alongside former Germany international Stefan Reuter, who took over as team manager on Monday. The club removed coach Reiner Maurer and club managing director Roland Kneissl from their posts on Sunday, two days after a goalless draw at home to Ahlen left the side in fourth place in the second division, six points behind the leaders. The 48-year-old 'Schoko' Schachner, who played 64 times for Austria, was sacked by Graz AK earlier this month after refusing to support spending cuts. 1860 Munich are at home to first division Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals of the German Cup on Wednesday. Schachner will officially take over the morning after the match.
