Superkid Walcott will bide time - agent
Theo Walcott's agent insists the teenage striker will only leave Southampton if he is convinced his long-term interests are better served elsewhere.
The 16-year-old has been linked with the elite of the Premiership
despite making only 12 league starts for Saints.
He has netted five goals in that time, however, making him the club's joint
top scorer this season.
But Colin Gordon, who represents Walcott, stressed that if the youngster is to
head out of St Mary's, it would not be for financial reasons.
'Theo has an excellent family behind him, and, like them, we want to make
sure that what happens next is best for him,' Gordon told the Daily Express.
'All we are interested in is making sure Theo fulfils his potential. Money is
not the primary motive and never has been.
'When he is 35 we want him to look back at his career and see that he has won
England caps and trophies that his talent deserves.'
