MADRID, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Spanish defender Josemi says he is delighted to be back home after joining Villarreal from Liverpool as part an exchange deal that will see Dutch international Jan Kromkamp move in the opposite direction.'Myself and my family are really happy to be returning to Spain,' the right back told a news conference at his presentation to the media on Monday. 'I'm thankful to Villarreal for giving me this chance. The club is showing that it is growing all the time and the results prove that it is now one of the biggest clubs in Europe.' Josemi struggled to adapt after joining Liverpool from Malaga on the recommendation of coach Rafa Benitez in 2004 and has faded further out of the reckoning this season, making just six Premier League appearances. 'I wasn't given all the chances I had hoped I would get at Liverpool,' he said. 'Now I want to recover the sort of form I showed when I played at Malaga.' Villarreal are in fourth place in the Primera Liga and have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League where they have been drawn against Glasgow Rangers. The 26-year-old, who has signed a four and a half-year deal with his new club, will not, however, be able to play for Villarreal against the Scottish champions as he has already appeared for Liverpool in this season's competition.
