PARIS, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Argentine striker Juan Eduardo Esnaider has signed a six-month contract with AC Ajaccio, the French first division club said on Tuesday.
Esnaider, who will turn 30 on March 5, arrived in Corsica on Monday for medical checks and signed his contract on Tuesday, with an option for another year, they said on their website.Esnaider, who has three caps for his country, had returned to Argentina last season to play for River Plate but hardly got a game and wished to end his career in Europe.AC Ajaccio will be his 11th club since his professional debut for Ferro Carril Oeste of Buenos Aires in 1989.The Argentine, who also has a Spanish passport, has spent most of his club career in Spain, playing for Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Real Zaragoza, with whom he won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1994.He also had short spells with Juventus and FC Porto.He is the second experienced striker hired this month by Ajaccio, who have signed former French international Bernard Diomede from Liverpool on loan.
