Premier Showdown - May 19

We are going right down to the wire in Premier Showdown - but Tommy Smyth sits in pole position after a storming performance last weekend took him above our challengers at the top of the table. So now the Rest of the World must win the final round if they are to be outright winners. Or could we have our first ever joint winners? Dale Johnson could do his mate Tommy a big favour by winning the round this Sunday. Representing the ROTW on the final day is Mark Lawson. Mark tells Showdown: "I'm living in Canada for a year, on loan from my job in New Zealand, where I am the operations manager for Elections NZ. My six-year-old son, Jules, and I are big Arsenal fans. Growing up, I remember watching 'Big League Soccer' every Sunday, which was a TV highlights package of the then first division, which I think was put together specially for the Antipodes. "Brian Moore was a superb commentator on that show. I lived in the UK for a couple of years in the 90s and managed to get to a couple of top flight games, including watching Matt Le Tissier play one of his last games for Southampton at the Dell. I'm really looking forward to this round, with a little apprehension, as Newcastle at home are a real threat for Arsenal, but I think they're up to it! Go the Gunners!" Game on!

For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on Press Pass' Tommy Smyth and ESPN journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.

Dale does Tommy a massive favour and wins the round - and it means Tommy is crowned as the Showdown champion for only the second time!
