PSV manager Dick Advocaat has promised to show no emotion as his side battle for the Eredivisie title after launching an attack on the Dutch media.
PSV host league leaders Ajax in one of the biggest games on Sunday, with only three points separating the top two clubs in the country.
But no matter the outcome, Advocaat has vowed to keep his thoughts to himself, the former Netherlands manager incensed by past reports misinterpreting his words.
However, that did not stop the 65-year-old returning fire when he spoke to De Telegraaf.
"I always try to tell you what I think and feel, but at some point it comes back at me the wrong way," he said.
"Nowadays you can apparently no longer show emotions. So next time I'll just smile to you, because I can act very well.
"If you say you've come to PSV to be champion, it's not good. In hindsight I should have said we (would come) fourth. Then we would have done fantastically.
"The negativity is rampant."
