Schelotto reveals emotion of derby equaliser

Ezequiel Schelotto said he cried after scoring the equaliser for Inter in the Milan derby.

The Argentine-born Italian came off the bench and scored a header to seal the draw for his new side two minutes later.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "I did shed a tear as to mark my debut derby like this was remarkable and I thought back to everything I went through over the last few months."

"It is a dream, and I will never be able to forget this huge emotion I am feeling."

Schelotto, 23, scored his first goal for Inter following a January transfer from Atalanta but believes his team could have got more from the game.

He said: "The draw is a little harsh on us as we had the chances to win this. Now we have to continue like this to the end of the season."

Schelotto cancelled out Stephan El Sharaawy's first Milan derby goal, and the AC Milan striker also expressed his disappointment at not getting a win.

He told Mediaset Premium: "My first goal in the derby is something to be really proud of, but the important thing today was the victory.

"We should have finished it off in the first half - but we didn't, and then conceded the draw."
