Defender Ignacio Camacho has claimed Malaga has no fear heading into its last-16 Champions League bout against FC Porto after labelling the Portuguese champions as 'no better than Milan'.
Camacho and his team-mates have impressed many in the competition this season, finishing top of their group after advancing to the knock-out stage undefeated - including a 1-0 home triumph over AC Milan.
But the Spanish side have a tough test awaiting them as they travel to Porto for the first-leg on Tuesday, the Primeira Liga leaders won this competition back in 2004 and, more recently, tasted European success in 2011 after claiming the Europa league.
But the 22-year-old Camacho refused to be cowed by Porto's recent achievements, believing the current squad was no comparison to some of the European heavyweights already accounted for by Malaga this season.
"So far we have done a great job, but why stop here? We played great teams in the first phase and we qualified and Porto, I believe, are no better than Milan," Camacho said.
"They are favourites for their history, but what happens in the field remains to be seen.
"Thereafter, a team against another team is 90 minutes at home and 90 minutes away, and we will try to get a result this week, so as to then close the tie at home.
"The team are positive going into this game. We had a great group stage and with the humility that we have had so far we can impose ourselves on a difficult game."
